Drying Drum BS6

Drying Drum BS6

Drying Drum (drum dryer) BS6 is a rotary drum machine, in which continuous drying of bulk materials (sawdust, shavings, chips, straw, peat, green forage, sugar beet, shell, etc.) takes place. The drum drier rotates on four rollers (two of them are powered). The drying medium is the hot air that passes through the three-layer drying drum . The dried material enters the front of the drying drum into the interior jacket. By rotating the drum (by the action of the co-circuited drying medium) it advances to its opposite face. There it turns and returns with the space between the inner and the middle jacket back. At the level of the entrance face of the drying drum it is reversed and moves in the original direction through the space between the middle and outer jacket to the outlet face of the drying drum. Due to this design, flow velocity and motion of the dried material decrease smoothly. This method assists in the progress of the material and contributes to its uniform drying. The speed of the drum is set at the factory. Thermal insulation is made on the surface to reduce heat loss. The BS6 dryer consists of a base frame with a drive and drying drum of a three-layer construction.
